Drake Launches New Champagne Line

After the success of his Virginia Black Whiskey label, Canadian superstar Drake is gearing up to launch an exclusive line of champagne called Mod Sélection.

Teaming up with wine and spirits industry stalwart Brent Hocking once again — the duo worked on Virginia Black — Mod Sélection was born from fifth-generation champagne makers located in France’s Vallée de la Marne. This highly coveted champagne dates back to 1892 and has never been sold to the general public. Mod Sélection is being billed as “the purest expression of balance and terroir produced in Champagne today” seeing a perfectly-executed balance between “time-honoured tradition, elegant modernity, and impeccable taste.”

Of course this highly-desired champagne comes housed in one-of-a-kind regal bottles embossed with golden brown embellishments handcrafted and “applied by the finest artisans in Champagne.”

“The product is great, the presentation is great, and hopefully the representation is great as well,” said Drake in an interview with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. “We’ll enjoy this run. It should be a long one and a strong one.”

Mod Sélection will be made available in both Reserve and Rosé priced at $300 USD and $400 USD per 750ml bottle. Future plans include adding magnums and jeroboams to the lineup, as well as single vineyard, vintage and blanc de blancs. Keep it locked here for more details.

Earlier this year, Drake threw a massive New Year’s Eve party seeing Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, Nas, Idris Elba, LeBron James, and more in attendance.
