FBI Agent Leading Biggie Murder Case Says LAPD Ruined Investigation On Purpose
The FBI agent who oversaw the investigation into the murder of Biggie Smalls has broken his silence.
Former agent Phil Carson claims the Los Angeles Police Department deliberately derailed the FBI's investigation into the case.
According to Carson, who retired from the FBI in September of 2017, the top brass at the agency conspired to ruin the investigation, due to the involvement of multiple rogue LAPD Police Officers, who helped carry out the contract killing.
According to former agent Phil Carson, members of the office of LAPD Chief Bill Bratton, the City Attorney of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Times work hand-in-hand to out informants, assassination his character and obstruct the case.
"I can prove to you how they not only knew what was going on but how they obstructed this case, how they derailed it," Phil Carson told The Daily Beast in a detailed article surrounding the investigation.
"I was young enough and naive enough not to realize how big and powerful these people were," Phil Carson said.
According to Carson, he was following credible leads that the murder was orchestrated by David Mack and Rafael Perez, two former LAPD officers who were associated with Marion "Suge" Knight.
David Mack was involved in a brazen bank robbery in November of 1997, while Rafael Perez was accused of stealing six pounds of cocaine from an evidence room while they were members of the LAPD.
The theory is that both men had the ability and prior experience with robbing drug dealers.
So they possessed the skills to organize the murder paramilitary style, which allowed the hitman to easily get away from the murder scene in front of the Petersen Automotive Museum, in downtown Los Angeles.
In this scenario, a man named Amir Muhammad AKA Harry Billups was the triggerman who shot up Biggie's SUV and killed the rapper in March of 1997.
The FBI also had another witness named Michael "Psycho Mike" Robinson as a confidential informant who was assisting with the FBI's attempt to get incriminating evidence out of Amir Muhammad.
Psycho Mike was a Compton Crip and associate of the Black Guerrilla Family, whose brother was allegedly a contract killer.
Psycho Mike maintains that Amir Muhammad worked in conjunction with David Mack to kill Biggie.
Psycho Mike claims that David Mack and Amir Muhammad formed a tight bond while they were both students at the University of Oregon and that Muhammad was hired by David Mack to orchestrate the shooting.

Phil Carson said he started building a case from this point forward and that's when the conspiracy began inside of the LAPD to shut down the case.
A bodyguard for Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was an eyewitness to the shooting, weighed in on such a credible person coming forward to discuss the conspiracy involving the murder of his former client.
"I'm glad Phil Carson, whatever is heavy on his heart, is coming forward and letting the truth be known," said "Big Gene" Deal. "Phil was a straight shooter. By him coming out and doing this right here, it makes me feel good."
